Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri) Environmental Conditions Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc... allowed, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Warehouse, Working at heights Job Description Summary: As a Facility Cleaner you will e nsure common areas of the manufacturing facility and warehouse utilized daily are cleaned and sanitized within Good Manufacturing Practices. Essential Functions: Perform daily cleaning of production, lab, warehouse, office, and washroom areas of the facility as per the Sanitation Standard Operating Procedure (SOP). Daily upkeeps general areas including dusting, window cleaning, polishing of fixtures, along with manage customer requests for cleaning, waste disposal, moving, and other miscellaneous facility requests in a timely manner . Perform waste disposal and recycling services. Accurately sign all Good Manufacturing Practices cleaning records and documentation. Ensure regular replenishing of all facility dispensers including paper, soap, and production garments. Maintain inventory of all cle aning and maintenance supplies. Lead and complete facility projects such as stripping and waxing floors, cleaning of air diffusers and exhaust grills, etc. Handle the disposal of waste from dust collectors. Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards. Perform alternating or rotating shift work (as required ) REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Required: Minimum of 1 year of work experience in janitorial services. Preferably: Previous janitorial experience in a GMP environment, pharmaceutical or food processing environment Equivalency : Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : Good interpersonal and communication skills (both oral and written) . Ability to maintain accurate records of activities . Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision . Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices. Demonstrated computer proficiency with Microsoft Office programs . Proficiency with the English language. Standards and Expectations: Follow all Environmental Health & Safety Policies and Procedures. Work collaboratively with fellow team members, modelling positive team principles and partnering to meet project and departmental objectives . Carry out all duties within strict compliance to Patheon quality systems S tandard Operating Procedures (S OP s) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Maintain workspace in a clean and orderly fashion. Actively engage in and adhere to departmental systems to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow (visual management, scheduling systems, etc.). Be client and patient conscious at all times . Understand Key Performance Indicators and strive to improve the performance of the team by identifying areas for system improvements and engage in problem solving. Models positive thinking and is open to change, motivating the team to adapt to shifts in priorities and new ways of working. Proactively identify areas for improvement in the execution of procedures. Communicate risks to timelines in a proactive manner. Consistently strives to improve skills and knowledge in related field .
