About this role

The Opportunity

Avantor is looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team in Sweden.   This is a remote and field role based in the Stockholm area. We offer a full time and permanent contract. You will work Monday to Friday during standard business hours.   The work involves daily business travel to our customers located in the Stockholm region of Sweden. Sometimes, you will also travel abroad to attend trainings courses and service visits.    After thorough training, you will be responsible for performing service and maintenance on medical devices and laboratory instruments at our customers sites in Sweden.  You will install, calibrate, repair primarily centrifuges, incubators, autoclaves, media preparators, plate pourers.  You will work with products and solutions that have an excellent reputation in their sector for innovation and quality, in a professional environment at Avantor’s highly regarded customers located in Sweden such as pharmaceutical companies, laboratories, hospitals, universities.   Who we’re looking for: Strong technical background and hands-on experience in a technical role are essential. Experience with maintenance and repair of medical equipment is an advantage. Education in electronics, mechanical engineering or related technical field is preferred. Fluent (C1) in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, at a business level is mandatory. Driving license category B is a must You need to be structured and comfortable working both independently and in a team, be practical and solution‑oriented. You work very carefully, systematically, and independently. You take initiative and are flexible in your way of working. Ability to analyze, understand, and handle customer issues in a professional manner.  Knowledge and practical experience working with PC systems such as SAP, CRM systems, and the MS Office suite, especially Excel and Word. Familiarity with quality assurance and measurement uncertainty calculations is an advantage.  Experience with validation work such as IQ/OQ.     Your main tasks and areas of responsibility: Install, calibrate, repair and perform preventive maintenance primarily on centrifuges, incubators, autoclaves, media preparators, plate pourers, and basic laboratory equipment. Report completed work in our systems and to the customer. Provide technical support via phone and email, as well as handle spare parts sales. Contribute to long‑term customer relationships and the development of our service offerings.
