About this role
COMPANY OVERVIEW We exist to make food the world loves. But we do more than that. Our company is a place that prioritizes being a force for good, a place to expand learning, explore new perspectives and reimagine new possibilities, every day. We look for people who want to bring their best — bold thinkers with big hearts who challenge one another and grow together. Because becoming the undisputed leader in food means surrounding ourselves with people who are hungry for what’s next.
Overview As a Senior Analyst, Deployment, you will help ensure the right inventory is in the right place at the right time across the General Mills network. This role is responsible for creating and adjusting distribution and replenishment plans, balancing customer service, inventory, and transportation cost goals, and using systems such as SAP and OMP to support effective deployment decisions. You will work closely with planners, transportation partners, production teams, and other cross-functional stakeholders to keep the network running smoothly and respond quickly to service risks and supply chain challenges. Key Accountabilities Create and execute distribution plans at the product-location level to maintain target inventory levels and support customer service goals. Monitor inventory, replenishment, and deployment exceptions, and take proactive action to reduce service risk, product expiration risk, and off-strategy movements. Maintain system parameters accurately and on time to ensure deployment tools and planning outputs align with defined flow strategies. Serve as a deployment point of contact for assigned sites, managing inbound and outbound inventory flow and supporting overflow and network balancing decisions. Assess site and network conditions using available planning and reporting tools, and provide recommendations on load prioritization, shipment balancing, and issue resolution. Partner with cross-functional teams including distribution planners, plant planners, transportation coordinators, production schedulers, and demand planning teams to support day-to-day execution and continuous improvement. Analyze and report key performance indicators such as case fill, mode mix, repositioning cost, service projections, and other drivers affecting supply chain performance. Support process improvement, system maintenance, documentation, training, audit readiness, backup team lead coverage, and special projects as needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Full-time bachelor’s degree from an accredited university. 4+ years of relevant experience with a bachelor’s degree, or 2+ years of relevant experience with an MBA. Experience in supply chain, distribution planning, logistics operations, or related planning environments. Working knowledge of supply chain systems such as SAP and OMP. Strong analytical and decision-making skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and functions. Demonstrated learning agility, interpersonal effectiveness, and technical/process leadership.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree. 3–5 years of related experience in supply chain or deployment planning. Major area of study in Supply Chain or a related field. Experience balancing customer service, inventory, and transportation cost trade-offs in a complex supply chain environment. Experience identifying process improvements and driving better planning outcomes through data and systems.
