Job Title: Technical Lead - System Engineering Job Location: Montreal, QC Job Code: 40970 Job Schedule: Day Shift Compensation Range: Between $ 126,500 - $ 176,500 CDN annually Our power division team is expanding its nuclear power control and simulation product line, and we're looking for a Technical Lead, System Engineer to drive it. In this role, you will own the design, integration, and verification of our control and data acquisition systems. Operating with minimal oversight on initiatives of significant organizational importance, you will set technical direction across hardware and software disciplines, translate customer requirements into system specifications, and lead the engineers, developers, and stakeholders who bring those systems to life. This is a hands-on technical leadership role for someone who wants to shape both the systems and the people who build them — mentoring engineers, helping improve engineering standards, and driving continuous improvement as the Power Division grows. Essential Functions: Systems Engineering Leadership Responsible for the systems engineering management plan for the department and projects, overseeing systems engineering activities and the execution of engineering processes. Deliver effective tools, procedures, and training for Systems Engineers across the organization; identify training needs, prepare training plans, and contribute to the development and delivery of systems engineering training. Lead and collaborate effectively with diverse teams, including engineers, developers, and stakeholders, and influence decisions across the organization. Provide guidance, coaching, and mentoring to other engineers, and contribute to the development of new concepts or standards. Manage budget and resources allocated for systems engineering and communicate effectively with leadership on key business and functional matters, including delivering clear and concise briefings. Project Delivery & Technical Oversight Contribute to bids and proposals by reviewing design proposals and preparing and/or reviewing systems engineering estimates. Work with project engineers, customers, and stakeholders to plan engineering metrics and implement measurement and reporting plans. Perform technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Review systems engineering artefacts such as trade studies, systems specifications, system architecture and interface documents, and ensure that quality objectives are achieved. Lead and oversee the development of test plans, test procedures, requirements traceability, and test reports. Documentation, Governance & Continuous Improvement Manage technical documentation including technical specifications, design, manufacturing and test/verification documents; organize engineering baselines and coordinate effective design reviews. Enforce effective information management tools and process to manage design data and technical baselines, ensuring that achievement of project milestones is supported. Perform/oversee Reliability, Maintainability, and Availability (RMA) analyses, including failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), maintainability
