As a Project Manager I/II at APS, you will lead important projects that help deliver reliable energy services and business improvements across the organization. By bringing together teams, managing resources, and guiding projects from planning through completion, you help ensure APS can effectively serve customers and support the communities that depend on safe, dependable power every day. What Your Day Would Be Like
Lead cross-functional projects that drive meaningful business outcomes and support APS operational goals. Partner with leaders and stakeholders to align project priorities, resources, and timelines for successful delivery. Coordinate and motivate multidisciplinary teams to achieve project milestones and solve challenges along the way. Manage project budgets, risks, and resources while balancing organizational needs and strategic objectives. Communicate progress, key decisions, and project results to leaders and stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment. Develop and execute project plans that keep teams focused, organized, and moving toward successful outcomes.
Who We’re Looking For
Experience leading medium-complexity projects involving multiple departments and stakeholders. Strong project planning, budgeting, resource management, and execution skills. Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams in a collaborative environment. Effective communicator who can provide clear updates and build strong working relationships with stakeholders. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Results-oriented professional who takes ownership and drives projects through completion.
Minimum Requirements
Project Manager I
A four-year Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university plus two (2) years job-related project management experience. In lieu of bachelors degree, combination of college coursework and/or experience as a Project Manager or in positions defining and/or managing project scopes, timelines, budgets and delivery equaling six (6) years.
Project Manager II
A four-year Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Information Systems or related field from an accredited college or university plus five (5) years job-related project management experience. In lieu of bachelors degree, combination of college coursework and/or experience as a Project Manager or in positions defining and/or managing project scopes, timelines, budgets and delivery equaling nine (9) years. Experience managing multiple small-to-medium size projects simultaneously.
Preferred Special Skills, Knowledge or Qualifications
Extensive understanding of project management processes, principles and methodologies. General functional/technical knowledge of the business units line of business, practices, and procedures. Demonstrated leadership, project management and organizational skills.
