Job Description
Job Family Definition: Designs, analyses , develops, modifies and evaluates electrical/electronic parts, components, sub-systems, algorithms, or integrated circuitry for Routers (access, edge and core) and Ethernet Switches. Conducts feasibility studies, design margin and validation analyses and empirical testing on new and modified designs. Assists in architecture development and assessment. Evaluates reliability of materials, properties, designs, and techniques used in production. May direct support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication. Management Level Definition: Hardware Engineering Team under Networking BU is working on the most leading edge technologies for Routers and Ethernet Switches used in Hyperscale Data Centres for AI, Service Providers, Enterprise Networks. Team is responsible for end-to-end design and development of solutions. Contributions have visible technical impact on a product or major subcomponent. Applies in-depth professional knowledge and innovative ideas to solve complex problems. Visible contributions improve time-to-market, achieve cost reductions, or satisfy current and future unmet customer needs. Recognized internal authority on key technology area applying innovative principles and ideas. Provides technical leadership for significant project/program work. Leads or participates in cross-functional initiatives and contributes to mentorship and knowledge sharing across the organization. What you'll do : Owning End-to-End resp onsibility of designing and delivering the product Working closely with PLM Team , understanding the Market Requirements and coming-up with architecture details Defining architecture, product description details, authoring hardware functional specifications Complete Hardware Design Flow – Schematic Entry, selecting components, working with various teams – eCAD , PCB Layout, SI, Power, Mechanical, Thermal, FPGA Specifying PCB Stack, working with PCB vendors , supply chain and manufacturing teams Working with CM and/or ODM and taking the product through complete lifecycle – proto to production Hardware Bring-up, testing, supporting various test teams – EDVT, MDVT, EMC, HALT, SI, IEEE Working closely with Diagnostic Software Team for design validation and manufacturing testing. Working with Software, Software Test Teams, debugging complex system issues. Develops organization-wide architectures and methodologies for electrical hardware design and development across multiple platforms and organizations within the Global Business Unit. Identifies and evaluates new technologies, innovations, and outsourced development partner relationships for alignment with technology roadmap and business value; creates plans for integration and update into architecture. Reviews and evaluates designs and project activities for compliance with technology and development guidelines and standards; integrates suggestions, updates, and innovations into
