Security Product Owner

Grade Level (for internal use): 12 Job Description The Team This role sits within the  MI Enterprise Technology  organization, supporting Reporting and AI teams that deliver Ai workflow tools, enterprise-scale analytics, and reporting across  S&P Global’s Market Intelligence division . The team focuses on building governed, scalable, and reusable solutions that enable senior leaders and business stakeholders to accelerate their work.  The Impact  As Ai has supercharged productivity potential, it has necessitated a corresponding ramp-up in security postures, compliance and reporting, and the speed of response to emerging threats. Delivery of value is contingent on being able to do so in a compliant and secure way, which is the core focus of this role. The impact of this position is to enable the full potential of new tools and data integration.

Your role is to face the exponentially increasing considerations around security, risk, compliance, and the complexity of integrating these priorities into traditional business objectives and production software delivery. What this looks like is some combination of: Monitoring the security scanning and threat analysis ecosystem to discover and prioritize what needs to be done Being expert on all applicable compliance mechanisms and security posture standards and how they apply across the tech and data estate for our internal productivity group Medium-level technical analysis of what remediation looks like. You will not necessarily commit code, but you will need to understand what needs to be done in some detail Proactive planning as both as part of existing product roadmaps and more broadly to stay ahead of emerging trends and threats Partner closely with engineering teams to ensure solutions are technically feasible, scalable, and aligned to enterprise standards Familiarity with enterprise reporting, analytics, and AI/ML solution delivery (hands-on development not required but conceptual understanding is essential).  Experience working with tools such as Power BI, data platforms, automation, and modern analytics ecosystems.  Comfortable working with technical concepts and translating them into language suitable for senior business stakeholders.  Manage trade-offs between scope, value, time, and technical complexity, setting clear expectations with stakeholders.     Essential Qualifications & Experience   10+ years’ experience in technical product management, software development / devops, data science, or delivery-focused roles Recent demonstrated expertise in cloud security and secops Proven experience writing high-quality user stories and managing backlogs Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and align senior audiences Excellent communication skills, with confidence presenting, demoing, and representing the team Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience Desirable   Product Manager / Product Owner certification (e.g., APM, SAFe, Scrum) Advanced degree in a technical or related field Experience working with enterprise reporting, BI platforms, and AI-enabled products.  Exposure to UAT frameworks and change management practices.  What’s In It For You  A highly visible role with direct impact on how MI consumes and leverages Reporting and AI solutions.  The opportunity to shape and align enterprise-scale products Exposure to modern data, analytics, and AI initiatives within a global organization.  A collaborative environment that values ownership, clarity, and continuous improvement.  About S&P Global Market Intelligence At S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global we understand the importance of accurate, deep and insightful information.
