Senior Consultant – Power & Utilities, Product Management, Data & AI Experience: 6–10 years, including 4+ years in Power & Utilities, energy technology, digital transformation, product management, analytics, or consulting roles Role Summary We are seeking a Senior Consultant to support AI-enabled product and transformation initiatives for Power & Utilities clients. The role will combine utility domain understanding, product management, data analytics, Generative AI, and stakeholder consulting to improve grid reliability, customer engagement, field productivity, asset performance, energy transition outcomes, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Define product roadmaps and business requirements for Power & Utilities solutions across grid operations, asset management, outage management, field service, customer operations, and energy transition use cases. Work with utility business, operations, technology, and data stakeholders to identify pain points, prioritize high-value use cases, and translate business needs into scalable product features. Lead discovery and roadmap workshops covering smart meters, customer data, field workforce, grid reliability, predictive maintenance, DER integration, demand forecasting, and regulatory reporting. Partner with data science, engineering, architecture, and delivery teams to design AI, analytics, automation, and digital solutions that are feasible, governed, and outcome driven. Define success metrics and value cases covering service reliability, grid uptime, outage response, asset performance, field productivity, customer satisfaction, adoption, cost efficiency, and sustainability impact.
Required Skills & Experience
Strong understanding of Power & Utilities value chain, including generation, transmission, distribution, retail, customer operations, field service, and energy transition priorities. Experience with utility data and platforms such as AMI/smart meter data, outage management, asset management, work management, GIS, SCADA/OT, CRM, billing, and customer engagement systems. Ability to define AI and analytics use cases across demand forecasting, predictive maintenance, fault detection, vegetation risk, outage prediction, field dispatch optimization, customer service, and regulatory insights. Experience defining product vision, OKRs, roadmaps, MVP scope, user stories, prioritization criteria, business outcomes, and measurable value realization plans. Strong data literacy, including the ability to interpret operational, customer, asset, workforce, and grid performance data to generate actionable insights. Strong stakeholder management, facilitation, consulting, executive communication, and storytelling skills.
AI, Analytics & Technology Exposure
Practical understanding of AI/ML, Generative AI, Agentic AI, LLMs, RAG, automation, and their application to utility operations and customer service. Exposure to cloud and data platforms such as Azure AI, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, AWS AI, Google Vertex AI, Databricks, Snowflake, or equivalent enterprise analytics ecosystems. Familiarity with Responsible AI, model monitoring, explainability, data privacy, cybersecurity, IT/OT integration considerations, and governance standards. Ability to work with cross-functional teams across business, operations, data, engineering, architecture, UX, cybersecurity, and delivery.
