Our employees are not only part of history,   they're   making history.   Northrop Grumman   Space   Systems   has an opening for a   Staff Systems Engineer   to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals at our  Huntsville, AL  campus.   The successful candidate will design and develop system architectures and define key capabilities and performance requirements. They will define design and technology maturity constraints of the system   in accordance with   customer specifications, develop thorough definition of system external interfaces, and define system implementation approaches and operational concepts to ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with customer.   Essential functions include:   Assist   in development of system   architecture for the GWS network and infrastructure team   Architecture,   planning,   and use case development   using   systems engineering methodologies.   - Perform functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.   - Perform system requirements analysis   as they pertain to the GWS contract.   - Automation workflow development of multi-disciplined functional processes in support of various engineering and business processes.   We offer flexible work arrangements, 9/80 work schedule with every other Friday off, phenomenal learning opportunities, exposure to a wide variety of projects and customers, and a very friendly team environment. Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 years of relevant experience with a   Master's   degree; 8 years of relevant experience with a PhD   Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance   at time of application   Experience using Jira/ C onfluence to collaborate   regarding   tasking and work   instructions inside a team   Experience in creating and delivering technical presentations to internal and external leadership   Experience working
