About the team The Coordinator II, Mortgage Operations, Post Closing reviews closed mortgage loan files for completeness and accuracy, resolves post-closing deficiencies, and prepares loans for delivery to investors and secondary market partners. The role ensures documentation, data, and collateral meet investor, agency, and regulatory requirements while coordinating with internal teams and external parties to clear exceptions and support timely, compliant file delivery. About the role - Review closed mortgage loan files to confirm all required documentation, signatures, and data are complete, accurate, and aligned with investor, agency, and regulatory guidelines. - Identify, research, and resolve post-closing deficiencies and conditions by coordinating with internal operations, sales, and underwriting partners, as well as settlement agents and other external counterparties. - Validate closing disclosures, notes, security instruments, and supporting documents to ensure consistency with system data and pricing, escalating discrepancies and potential compliance issues as needed. - Prepare and package post-closed loan files for delivery to investors and secondary market partners, following established checklists, stacking orders, and transmission standards. - Monitor post-closing pipelines, prioritize work to meet investor delivery timelines and service level expectations, and communicate status, risks, and impacts to appropriate stakeholders. - Perform quality and data integrity checks on loan records and collateral files, updating systems of record and documenting resolution steps to support audit and investor review. - Contribute to process and control improvements in post-closing workflows by sharing recurring issues, recommending enhancements, and supporting implementation of updated procedures. This role has been categorized as an Office position. “Office” employees regularly work at an existing ZG corporate office for approximately 80 to 100 percent of their time each month. Employees must live within reasonable commuting distance of their designated ZG office. ZG has not defined a reasonable distance, and expects employees will use judgment in determining this for themselves and understand the implications re: time commitment and cost of daily commute. In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $22.80 - $34.20 hourly. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Who you are High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in mortgage operations, loan closing, post-closing, or a closely related residential mortgage support function. Experience reviewing mortgage loan documentation for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with investor, agency, or regulatory requirements. Experience working in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment with responsibility for managing an assigned pipeline of loans or cases. Familiarity with the Encompass loan origination system is strongly preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word. Strong attention to detail, organization, and analytical problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build productive relationships with internal and external partners. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines while maintaining accuracy and service quality. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing business needs and timelines.
