Sr. Inventory Coordinator

In this role, you will report to Supervisor, Onsite Services and will work closely with the Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team of over 1,500 on- and off-site expert personnel and our customers to perform customized, mission-based lab work and research protocols that help return time back to science. What we’re looking for    ·       Education: High School Diploma or GED required ·       Experience : 2+ years' experience in material handling/inventory replenishment   Preferred Qualifications:    Intermediate computer skills including Microsoft Office with proficiency in Word and Excel Solid understanding and experience in either shipping, inventory, or purchasing Excellent Customer Service Skills; displays a professional can-do attitude High regard for safety, quality, and adherence to protocols, policies, and procedures Ability to self-manage and self-motivate; forward thinking Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines Ability to communicate effectively with both the customer and internal contacts Must be able to lift 50lbs How you will thrive and create an impact    Avantor’s Lab and Production Services team is a crucial part of the Avantor Services group serving over 500 customers in biopharma, pharmaceutical, educational, industrial, and high-tech industries with customizable, flexible solutions and end-to-end laboratory operations support. In this role, you will: Manage inventory control, stock movement, cycle counts, physical inventories, and inventory reporting. Monitor slow-moving and obsolete inventory and ensure accurate inventory records. Process inventory requests and coordinate on-site and off-site inventory movements. Provide customer service support, including order entry, reporting, metrics tracking, and issue resolution. Perform purchasing activities such as backorder management, expediting, quote management, invoice reconciliation, and vendor coordination. Coordinate shipping and receiving activities, including shipment processing, documentation, and package delivery. Handle hazardous materials and ensure compliance with shipping and packaging requirements. Manage consigned, non-consigned, customer-owned, and third-party inventory. Interface with customers, suppliers, purchasing teams, facility leaders, and plant managers. Utilize SAP, Citrix, ChemSW, Avantor Inventory Management Systems, and other customer-specific systems. Maintain documentation, records, SOPs, and support change management initiatives. Collaborate with sales teams and manufacturer representatives to support business operations. Drive process improvements and develop programs that enhance service efficiency. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards. Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.
