What role you will play in our team If successful, you will be an integral part of our Global Trading Analytics organization, supporting Gas & Power trading activities across regional and global energy markets. We are seeking a highly motivated quantitative analyst with strong modeling, analytical, and trading strategy development capabilities to design and enhance quantitative models, analytical frameworks, and decision-support tools that enable trading, risk management, and commercial optimization. In this role, you will work closely with traders, quantitative analysts, fundamental analysts, technologists, and risk professionals to identify, develop, evaluate, and implement trading and hedging strategies across gas, power, and related commodity markets. You will contribute to the development of scalable state-of-the-art quantitative solutions that support market analysis, asset optimization, portfolio management, and commercial decision-making in a fast-paced trading environment. What you will do
Research, develop, and maintain quantitative models supporting trading strategy development, valuation, portfolio optimization, and risk management across gas and power markets. Apply advanced statistical, econometric, and quantitative techniques to identify market opportunities, trading signals, and portfolio optimization strategies. Develop analytical frameworks that evaluate market fundamentals, price formation, supply and demand dynamics, volatility, and cross-commodity relationships. Partner closely with traders to identify, evaluate, and implement trading and hedging strategies that capture market opportunities and optimize portfolio performance. Analyze physical and financial optionality across gas, power, and related commodity markets, translating quantitative insights into commercially actionable recommendations. Develop, validate, and maintain valuation models used to assess assets, structured transactions, trading opportunities, and complex commercial exposures. Conduct statistical analysis, forecasting, scenario analysis, and back-testing to evaluate trading strategies and improve predictive performance. Build and maintain analytical tools, dashboards, and quantitative infrastructure that improve trading efficiency, market understanding, and decision support. Support asset valuation and commercial analysis initiatives through quantitative modeling, opportunity assessment, and risk evaluation. Provide quantitative expertise on derivatives, structured products, portfolio optimization techniques, and risk management approaches. Collaborate with technology and data teams to develop scalable production-ready quantitative solutions and analytics platforms. Evaluate model performance, conduct validation exercises, and implement model enhancements to improve analytical accuracy and commercial value. Remain current on developments in quantitative finance, machine learning, data science, and commodity market analytics to continually enhance analytical capabilities.
