Senior HR Business Partner, NDL Operations (Gunma Plant & Okuni Warehouse) About the Role We are seeking a proactive and business-oriented HR Business Partner to support our NDL Operations organization in Japan. In this critical role, you will partner closely with the HR Director, Plant Director, and business leaders to lead Human Resources and General Affairs activities across the Gunma Plant and Okuni Warehouse. As a trusted advisor to the business, you will drive talent strategies, strengthen employee engagement, support organizational transformation, and help build a high-performing and future-ready workforce. Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Partnership Partner with the HR Director, Plant Director, and business leaders to execute HR strategies aligned with APAC and NDL business objectives. Provide HR guidance and recommendations to support organizational effectiveness and business performance. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce needs and recruitment priorities. Develop and expand effective sourcing channels to attract diverse talent. Work closely with the APAC Talent Acquisition team to ensure timely and successful hiring outcomes. Talent Development & Performance Management Lead performance management processes and talent development initiatives. Support succession planning, capability development, and learning programs. Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement and retention. Employee & Labor Relations Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations and labor matters. Collaborate with managers and labor union representatives to resolve issues and maintain positive employee relations. Ensure compliance with company policies and local labor regulations. HR & GA Operations Excellence Partner with the Tachikawa HR team to ensure efficient and effective HR and General Affairs operations. Identify opportunities to improve processes, employee experience, and operational efficiency. Employee Benefits & Cost Optimization Lead initiatives that enhance employee well-being while improving operational effectiveness. Drive programs to optimize OPEX and support sustainable plant operations. Leadership & Team Management Lead, coach, and develop HR and General Affairs team members. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration. EHS Partnership Support and promote Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) initiatives in collaboration with Operations and EHS teams. Participate in safety programs, committee activities, health initiatives, and workplace improvement efforts. Additional Projects Take ownership of special projects and other assignments as required by the HR Director and business needs.
Qualifications
Education Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional qualification.
Experience
Experience leading teams, projects, or cross-functional initiatives. Proven track record of driving business, process, or organizational improvement. Experience in Human Resources, General Affairs, Corporate Functions, or related fields is preferred. Experience handling employee relations or labor-related matters is an advantage. Technical Skills Solid understanding of HR practices and processes, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to leverage data for decision-making. Effective project management
