Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) projects Oversee all NPD projects from customer design transfer through engineering qualification, validation, and production release. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet customer requirements. 2. Supervise and Develop NPD Engineering Team Lead, coach, and develop NPD Engineers. Assign project priorities, monitor workload, and ensure effective execution. 3. Drive Cross-functional Project Management Cooperate activities among Design Engineering, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, Logistics and Supply Chain, Purchasing, and external suppliers. Act as the primary engineering focal point for project status, risk management, and issue resolution. 4. Establish and Improve NPD systems Develop and continuously improve NPI processes, Engineering Qualification Plans (EQP), documentation standards, and project management methodologies. Standardize best practices to improve project execution efficiency. 5. Technical Leadership Review product designs, tooling concepts, manufacturing processes, validation plans, DFM/PFMEA, PMCP, risk assessments, and engineering changes. Ensure manufacturability, reliability, qualify, and cost objectives are achieved. 6. Customer and Global Engineering Interface Collaborate with customers and Donaldson Disk Drive Filtration engineering teams on new product development, technical reviews, and qualification activities. Lead technical discussions during customer visits, design reviews, and project meetings. 7. Engineering Qualification & Product Release Ensure Engineering Qualification Plans (EQP), prototype builds, validation testing, First Article (FA), and product release activities are completed according to company and customer requirements. 8. Project Risk & Resource Management Identify project risks proactively and implement mitigation plans. Manage engineering resources to support multiple concurrent projects while maintaining project priorities. 9. Continuous Improvement Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to NPI cycle time, engineering productivity, project management, and manufacturing readiness. 10. Compliance Support ISO9001, ISO14001, IATF16949, ISO14644 (clean room), safety requirements, customer-specific requirements, and company policies. Perform additional duties assigned by the Engineering Manager. Key Qualifications & Requirements:
Education
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, Electronics Engineering or related field. Master's degree is an advantage. Technical Competence & Skills: Strong knowledge of New Product Development (NPD/NPI). Strong Project Management skills. Engineering Qualification Plan (EQP). Product Validation & Verification. Design for Manufacturability (DFM) PFMEA. Statistical Analysis and Six Sigma Tools. Lean Manufacturing principles. Risk Management. Engineering Change Management (ECR/ECO) Good understanding of manufacturing processes. Strong presentation and reporting skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project Management software Leadership Competence: Strong leadership and people management skills. Excellent coaching and mentoring ability. Strategic thinking.
