About this role

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. At Google, we own and operate the most advanced fleet of data centers and core technical infrastructure to power services and features used by billions of people around the world. Data Centers Central Operations is responsible for keeping these sites operating efficiently and safely. Within the Data Centers Central Operations function, you will be a part of the Spares Readiness team and will be accountable for improvement/sustainment projects/programs that support our mission of assuring that data centers have their spare parts available to them when they need them. You specifically will focus on Third-Party Data Centers, and will focus on developing programs focused on the facility stocking strategy for maintaining Google's compute, storage and network infrastructure outside of Google-owned buildings. Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $138000 - $197000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google .

Analyze, identify, and publish opportunities based on topological equipment similarities between various envelopes within the data center design catalogue, using available data and by researching data across partner organizations and site operations. Drive efficiencies with knowledge sharing and develop process for managing critical part escalations and tracking optimizing part management and availability across envelope types. Establish incident monitoring reporting and analytics in relation to spare part consumption within third-party data centers. Learn key tactical tools and maintenance procedures used across YAWN and third-party data centers sites and develop insights to guide new processes and programs. Collaborate with site leaders, site teams, and cross-functional partners across our fleet, understanding key gaps, pain points, and opportunities that exist across third-party data centers, while providing support, recommendations, and building robust relationships with the site teams.

Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 2 years of experience in program management. Experience in supply chain management (e.g., infrastructure operations, supply chain operations, data center operations or manufacturing). Experience with advanced data analytics/statistical analysis (e.g., SAP, SQL, dashboard creation). Preferred qualifications: Lean or Six Sigma certification. 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience coordinating projects or programs across global teams, spanning multiple offices, time zones, and regional environments.
