Role
Expectations The Simufact Application Engineer will serve as the primary technical consultant for Simufact manufacturing simulation solutions, providing end-to-end pre-sales and post-sales support throughout the customer lifecycle. This role is responsible for solution consulting, technical validation, project implementation, customer enablement, and troubleshooting for manufacturing process simulation applications across industries including automotive, metals, tooling, heavy equipment, new energy, and advanced manufacturing.
Job Description
Engage with customers to understand manufacturing process simulation requirements and develop technical solutions using Simufact products, including Simufact Forming, Simufact Welding, and Simufact Additive. Deliver software demonstrations, Proof of Concept (POC) studies, benchmark evaluations, feasibility analyses, and technical presentations. Support customers in manufacturing process simulation projects involving sheet metal forming, forging, rolling, welding, heat treatment, and metal additive manufacturing. Assist customers with model creation, material definition, process parameter setup, solver execution, results interpretation, and troubleshooting. Conduct customer training programs, hands-on workshops, and best-practice sharing sessions to improve simulation capabilities and software adoption. Collaborate with sales teams to support technical proposal development, POC execution, and project delivery. Monitor industry trends and customer requirements to contribute to solution development and product improvement initiatives. Develop industry-specific simulation case studies, technical documentation, training materials, and knowledge repositories. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree or above in Materials Forming, Materials Processing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Welding Engineering, Materials Science, Additive Manufacturing, or related disciplines. Solid understanding of finite element analysis (FEA), material constitutive behavior, metal forming theory, and manufacturing processes. Hands-on experience or academic background in one or more of the following areas: Sheet Metal Forming Forging Rolling Welding Heat Treatment Metal Additive Manufacturing Ability to independently perform model preparation, mesh generation, material setup, boundary condition definition, simulation execution, and results analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide customer-facing technical support. Excellent communication, presentation, and training delivery skills. Team-oriented with willingness to travel occasionally for customer support and project implementation. Ability to read technical documentation in English; verbal technical communication skills in English are preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Simufact Forming, Simufact Welding, Simufact Additive, FormingSuite (FTI), MSC Marc, MSC Nastran, or related CAE software. Industry experience in automotive OEMs, automotive suppliers, tooling and die manufacturing, steel production, advanced equipment manufacturing, or new energy industries. Practical project experience in sheet metal forming, forging, welding, heat treatment, or additive manufacturing simulation. Previous experience in CAE technical support, application engineering, manufacturing process development, or simulation project implementation.
