Role location: Hybrid (three days in-office, two days virtual) About the role: As a Cloud Engineer Lead, you will lead the design, delivery, and support of secure, scalable cloud networking solutions across Azure and AWS environments. You will help drive cloud connectivity, network security, and infrastructure automation that enable critical business and technology services. Working closely with security, infrastructure, application, and operations teams, you will solve complex networking challenges and improve platform reliability. Success in this role is measured by secure cloud adoption, operational excellence, automation outcomes, and service resilience.
What you will be doing
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of cloud network architectures across Azure and AWS environments. Build and support secure cloud connectivity solutions, including routing, segmentation, and firewall integrations. Manage and enhance network security controls using Palo Alto Networks technologies and related platforms. Develop and maintain infrastructure as code solutions using Terraform and automation best practices. Create scalable, reusable cloud networking standards, templates, and deployment patterns. Partner with application, security, infrastructure, and operations teams to deliver reliable cloud services. Troubleshoot and resolve complex network performance, connectivity, and security issues. Improve operational efficiency through automation, monitoring, and continuous service improvement initiatives. Lead technical reviews and provide guidance on cloud networking strategy, governance, and architecture decisions. Mentor engineers and contribute to technical capability development across the team. What you bring: Demonstrated experience designing and supporting cloud networking solutions in Azure and AWS environments. Strong knowledge of network architecture, routing, switching, firewall technologies, and network security principles. Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls or comparable enterprise firewall platforms. Practical experience using Terraform or other infrastructure as code tools to automate cloud infrastructure. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across distributed and complex cloud environments. Experience collaborating with cross-functional technical and business stakeholders. Ability to lead technical initiatives and provide mentorship to engineering teams. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent skills-based experience. Added bonus if you have: Experience with Palo Alto Panorama, GlobalProtect, and cloud-native security integrations. Knowledge of ExpressRoute, VPN technologies, Transit Gateway, PrivateLink, and cloud DNS services. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based infrastructure delivery practices. Experience developing reusable Terraform modules and enterprise cloud networking frameworks. Experience working in financial services, highly regulated industries, or large-scale enterprise environments. Relevant cloud, network, or security certifications.
