Key Responsibilities
Implement and steward the COEM process to manage OE/HSE risks during contractor activities. Conduct Consequence and Capability Assessments for contractors prior to work execution. Develop and maintain COEM plans, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and OE expectations. Monitor contractor performance during work-in-progress and update COEM plans based on changing conditions. Facilitate risk-based reviews for high-consequence work, including SIMOPs and major accident scenarios. Collaborate with Procurement/Supply Chain Management (P/SCM) to integrate COEM requirements into contracting processes. Provide assurance that subcontractors meet Chevron OE/HSE standards through verification and documentation. Support incident prevention initiatives and integrate lessons learned into COEM practices. Deliver training and guidance to project teams and contractors on COEM requirements and best practices. Participate in Safety Operations Communities of Practice (CoP) to share insights and drive continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Safety Management, or related field. 2 to 6 years of experience in contractor safety management or operational excellence roles. Strong knowledge of OEMS frameworks, COEM processes, and regulatory compliance. Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Chevron COEM procedures and OE governance. Experience in risk analysis, contractor capability assessments, and SIMOPs management. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders effectively. Proficiency in digital tools for COEM tracking and reporting (e.g., SharePoint, OE dashboards).
