We are looking for a Deputy Manager to join our team. This is a Hybrid role, reporting to the Senior Manager in the Procurement department. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in IT procurement and negotiation across various segments of IT infrastructure, with a proven track record of executing cost-effective procurement strategies in a high-growth technology environment. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams in Cloud Operations, IT, and Engineering to develop a procurement strategy that meets their needs.
What You’ll Do (Role Expectations)
• Execute a global procurement strategy for Cloud Infrastructure requirements including servers, networking equipment, peripherals, colocation, and bandwidth services aligned with organizational growth requirements
• Partner with internal Cloud Operations and Engineering teams to understand their needs, establish an approved supplier list to enhance efficiency and cost optimization, and advise end users on cost-effective suppliers
• Conduct market research and benchmark suppliers against performance metrics to ensure logistic and cost efficiency while providing strategic procurement recommendations
• Oversee the competitive bidding process for identified procurement opportunities, collaborate with the Legal team on vendor contracts, and ensure local sourcing conforms to global policies
• Address supplier performance issues as necessary and keep end-users informed about potential risks or external influences affecting their requirements
