Job Description

The HQ Manufacturing Finance team works cross-functionally to manage the global Manufacturing forecast. The Manufacturing Finance analyst is an important player in managing forecast accuracy for Start Up and Pre Production (SUPP) expenses and supporting our business partners in proactively managing launch spending.  The team primarily supports the Manufacturing Excellence organization and works closely with Plant Finance and the remainder of the MFG Consolidation /FP&A team.

Responsibilities

Own the consolidation of SUPP (Start-Up & Pre-Production) forecast, budget, and LTP financials for GMNA. Including variance analysis by plant, and cost driver. Build and maintain detailed SUPP cost models to track launch spending curves for people costs and indirect materials, benchmarking against historical spend and staffing templates to identify risks and savings opportunities. Partner with plant finance, PLOM (Plant Launch Operations Manager), and Technical Accounting to ensure accurate classification of launch-related costs to SUPP vs. plant budgets and to support accounting policy compliance. Develop and enhance SUPP reporting and tools (e.g., standardized templates, dashboards, and analytics) to improve forecast accuracy, increase transparency for Manufacturing Leadership Team (MLT)/CFO reviews, and support decision-making on launch readiness and optimization. Build strong cross-functional relationships across a large, global organization (plant finance, PLOM, FP&A, Technical Accounting, MFG leadership) to align on SUPP assumptions, resolve issues quickly, and drive consistent launch execution.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative field. 5 + years of related experience in finance. Strong collaboration and communication skills within Finance and with operating partners Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal guidance/supervision Project management skills - action oriented, works towards deadlines, manages team deliverables, with a sense of ownership and urgency. Ability to analyze and synthesize complex issues to provide insight and metrics to drive the right business decisions Comfortable respectfully Speaking Fearlessly to drive robust business discussions SAP/Hyperion experience a plus Location: Hybrid. This role is categorized as hybrid.
