Job Duties and Responsibilities Security Monitoring: Monitor security systems (SIEM) for suspicious activity and analyze alerts. Incident Response: Investigate and contain security breaches. Log Analysis: Review security logs from firewalls and other devices to find anomalies. Threat Intelligence: Stay updated on new cyber threats and vulnerabilities. Documentation: Create detailed reports on security incidents and actions taken. Lead investigation and response for high-severity security incidents (APT activity, ransomware, insider threats, data breaches,DLP&Phishing ). Perform root cause analysis, determine attacker dwell time, and assess business impact. Advise on security control improvements and detection gaps. Create SOPs, runbooks & reports  Take part in Root Cause Analysis and other fine tuning efforts Escalate to L3 team following the Incident Response Plan/Process Contribute to SOC metrics, KPIs, and executive-level reporting. Participate in on-call rotation for critical incidents. Skills, Experience and Requirements 1-4 years of experience in Tier 1/2 or L1/L2 as an analyst in cyber defense operations / Security Operations center. Knowledge in using SIEM and other security systems (Palo Alto XSIAM, Splunk, EDR, Mimecast, Proofpoint, Open Source Threat Intel) Deep understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, firewalls, proxies, http, WAF) and operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) is essential for effective threat analysis and incident response Knowledge of the MITRE ATT&CK framework for threat detection, attack mapping, and adversary techniques. Candidates should be willing to work in shifts including night shift and on weekends.
