About the Strategy Internship
The Combustibles Category Strategy, Pricing & Planning team supports PMI's global business by shaping strategic priorities, driving commercial performance, identifying growth opportunities, and enabling data-driven decision-making.
As an intern, you will contribute to projects spanning strategic planning, pricing analytics, competitive intelligence, forecasting, business performance tracking, artificial intelligence applications, and process improvement. You will gain exposure to senior leadership discussions and work on initiatives with direct business impact across multiple markets and regions.
Who We're Looking For
• Available for a full-time 6-month internship starting in September 2026.
• Currently pursuing an MBA, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset.
• Comfortable working with data and translating insights into recommendations.
• Curious about strategy, commercial performance, pricing, competitive dynamics, and AI applications in business.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced international environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Strong or advanced Excel skills required; experience with Power BI, AI tools, Python or data visualization is considered a strong advantage.
• Fluent in English.
Roles & Objectives
During your internship you will contribute to a variety of projects across strategy, pricing, analytics, and business transformation, such as:
• Supporting strategic planning activities, market assessments, and competitive intelligence research.
• Assisting in the development of dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to support business decisions.
• Conducting pricing, financial, and commercial analyses to identify risks and opportunities across markets.
• Supporting forecasting, scenario modeling, and business performance tracking initiatives.
• Exploring opportunities to leverage artificial intelligence and automation to improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
• Designing and implementing process improvements, templates, standard reports, and workflow automation solutions.
• Helping structure, organize, and communicate insights for senior management presentations and leadership discussions.
• Contributing to the development of new analytical methodologies, data sources, and business intelligence capabilities.
