The Platform Application Engineer – ODM Support role is responsible for providing front‑line platform enablement and technical execution support for ODM customer projects based on AMD client platforms. This role works closely with senior CE architects and cross‑functional teams to ensure ODM platform designs comply with AMD requirements and achieve on‑time, high‑quality product delivery . The engineer will support multiple ODM programs across design, validation, and bring‑up stages while developing strong platform and customer‑facing skills.     THE PERSON The ideal candidate is a hands‑on, execution‑oriented engineer who is eager to grow in platform enablement and customer support. This individual is detail‑focused, technically curious, and comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multi‑project environment. The role suits someone who enjoys system‑level problem solving , collaborating with senior engineers, and learning how platform design decisions impact real customer products.

Provide  early design guidance (EDG) under supervision of senior CE architects Learn and apply AMD platform requirements, design rules, and best practices Act as a technical support contact for assigned ODM accounts Work closely with internal teams including CE architects, PPA, BIOS/FW, validation, and documentation Support RFI/RFQ and project kickoff activities with technical data collection and follow‑up Contribute to  knowledge sharing and training , FAQs, and enablement materials Gradually expand ownership and technical depth with mentorship and on‑the‑job training Support ODM customer projects during design, validation, and bring‑up stages Assist with schematic, layout, and platform design reviews to ensure compliance with AMD design guidelines   PREFERRED EXPERIENCE Experiences exposure in system‑level engineering, ODM/OEM projects, or platform support Familiarity with PC system architecture , including CPU, memory, power, and thermal concepts Exposure to schematic/layout reviews, validation activities, or platform bring‑up Experience working with customers, field teams, or cross‑functional engineering groups is preferrable Experiences of software programing and AI application is a plus     ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field Solid foundation in digital systems, computer architecture, or electronic #LI-IH1 Benefits offered are described:  AMD benefits at a glance .   AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
