An operational Product Owner for Execution Services is responsible for defining, prioritizing, and delivering product capabilities that support the execution lifecycle across post-trade workflows. This role acts as the bridge between business stakeholders, technology, and operations/end users to ensure solutions are aligned to business strategy, regulatory obligations, client needs, and operational efficiency goals.
The Product Owner owns the product backlog, translates strategic priorities into actionable requirements, and works closely with cross-functional delivery teams to deliver scalable, resilient, and user-centered execution services capabilities.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Markets Operations. Own and maintain the product backlog, ensuring priorities are aligned to business value and strategic outcomes. Act as the primary decision-maker for day-to-day trade-offs within the product scope. Support and lead complex Operations-focused initiatives across Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income, Equities, and Derivatives to enhance client experience and product capability, improve operational scalability, standardize global processes, reduce operational risk, and improve margins while lowering costs. Support process optimization and automation opportunities across execution workflows. Lead projects end to end, from strategic analysis and solution design through implementation, execution, and ongoing refinement to drive continuous improvement. Analyze and define business requirements, translating them into clear functional and operational specifications. Collaborate with Agile teams in sprint planning, backlog refinement, demos, and retrospectives. Manage deliverables collaboratively across stakeholders, ensuring clear alignment, accountability, and execution against timelines. Design and execute testing strategies and methodologies, including use case development, scripting, user acceptance testing, and regression testing through both manual and automated approaches. Support the testing of new and enhanced functionality or systems, including test case and scenario development, requirements traceability, test preparation, script writing, and functional validation. Drive Operational Readiness by ensuring business teams are engaged, trained, and prepared to adopt changes and new solutions successfully. Ensure product features meet control, governance, audit, and regulatory expectations. Apply strong project governance practices, including effective use of Jira and Confluence, to deliver projects and programmes in a controlled and transparent environment. Monitor product performance, adoption, operational stability, and user feedback to inform enhancements.
