Eaton’s IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Material Handler in Indianapolis, IN. The hourly rate for this position is 23. Core hours for this role are 6:30 am - 3:00 pm. What you’ll do: Position Overview: The Material Handler may fulfill multiple roles in the Distribution Center environment to help fulfill overall mission to process Inbound / Work in process and/or Outbound freight accurately, timely, and safely. Essential Functions: · Performs one or more of a variety of functions in a Distribution Center environment associated with fulfilling orders. Potential work assignments include Receiving, Labeling, Put away, Order Picking, Slotting, Replenishment, critical ship today sure order fulfillment. · Capable of reading incoming tasks via electronic WMS and select the correct items from the warehouse shelves to avoid errors. · Count out the appropriate number of goods to fulfill an order and complete the tasks via electronic WMS. · Inspect and verify material picked/put away is free of any visual damage. · Store materials in designated warehouse locations and ensure proper organization and labeling. · Load, inspect and verify outbound materials against shipments / bill of ladings. · Safely operate forklifts (reach and or order/cherry pickers, pallet jacks and other material handling equipment. · Resolve discrepancies. Research all workable solutions to ensure order picking / put away is accurate. · Follow written and oral instructions. Adhere to all company policies and procedures including good housekeeping. · Maintain quality workmanship, observe safety procedures, report unsafe acts, and perform work of equal of lower classification if necessary. · Use of RF scanner and computer keyboard required. · Must be able to lift 50 pounds without assistance. · Continuous standing, bending, reaching, lifting, pushing, and pulling. · Supports and participates in continuous improvement initiatives including 5S (sort, set, shine, standardize, and sustain). · Capable of managing multiple tasks without losing efficiency or productivity · Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: • High School Diploma or GED • Ability to operate material handling equipment. • Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy objects. • Certification of powered industrial equipment is necessary. • 1 years' experience in a warehouse/distribution center environment driving reach truck and or order/cherry picker • Relocation is not provided.
