Position Summary
Supervises, trains, and monitors the activities of assigned claims adjusters and other claims personnel. Assists the Claims Leadership in the overseeing and handling of claims. **this role is being reposted, due to a change in qualifications and changes to geographical location**
This position will be supervising Liability Adjusters. This is an in-office position, however the candidate can work at any branch within the HAL (Home and Auto Liability) SE Unit. This includes offices in VA (Roanoke & Richmond), NC (Charlotte & Raleigh), MD (Silver Spring), and WV (Parkersburg). The candidate will need to report to their closest branch office. T he team & territory that they will be supervising will be handling liability claims across VA. The ideal candidate will live in close proximity to the Richmond Branch Office, however the hiring manager will consider candidates near the branches listed above. Duties and Responsibilities
Manages overall operations of designated area of authority. Interviews, hires, trains, and directs personnel. Prepares and conducts performance assessments, coordinates discipline and oversees Employee development as required. Reviews claims on a regular basis in accordance with company policy. reviews adjusters’ files for coverage and adequate reserves, acts as a resource for answering claims questions, provides additional services as required and takes action as necessary. Reviews claim correspondence and provides counsel on further action. Resolves coverage and other unusual questions within designated authority. Conducts related research as necessary.
