Project Controls – Applications, Metrics, Risk & Support ********** This position requires an in-office presence four (4) days per week********** JOB SUMMARY The Project Controls Manager is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction for the Project Controls Applications, Metrics, Risk, Training and Support organization within the Georgia Power Transmission PMO. This leader oversees teams responsible for: Development and maintenance of project controls documentation, metrics, KPIs, dashboards, and executive reporting Earned Value Management System (EVMS) implementation, governance, and continuous improvement Improvement and implementation of risk management processes, risk modeling, reporting, and contingency analytics Administration, support, and enhancement of PMO applications and data platforms Data governance, quality assurance, and analytics supporting project controls decision-making User support, training, and adoption of project controls tools and processes Training strategy development, refinement and implementation The team serves as the center of excellence for project controls methodologies, data management, reporting, and technology enablement across Transmission Project Management. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with Project Controls, Project Management, PSS, TO, Construction, Land and other Southern Company organizations to develop and maintain integrated project controls capabilities that improve forecasting accuracy, risk visibility, earned value performance, and executive decision-making. This role will drive the implementation and long-term sustainability of modern project controls processes and technologies, including integrated analytics platforms and digital transformation initiatives. Job Requirements Education B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Finance, or related field required Advanced degree and/or PMP, EVP, PMI-SP, RMP, PE, or similar certification is a plus Experience and Knowledge Proven leadership skills and demonstrated history of change leadership and problem solving Formal supervisory experience with performance management responsibilities required, with leadership of leaders a plus Experience in the utility industry, preferably with Transmission Knowledge of key project control concepts and how they lead to execution success Experience identifying and developing metrics, dashboards, KPIs, and executive reports Experience translating business needs into process or technical solutions Experience managing teams through change Demonstrated experience with large-scale transformations, process improvements, and organizational change initiatives Demonstrated experience of successful initiatives requiring cross-functional collaboration Key Responsibilities Project Controls Governance Lead development and governance of PMO Project Controls standards, procedures, methodologies, and performance measurement frameworks Ensure consistent application of EVMS, risk management, reporting, and analytics processes across the PMO Identify opportunities to improve project controls maturity and organizational effectiveness EVMS Leadership Lead implementation, adoption, and continuous improvement of Earned Value Management practices Establish EVMS governance, training, performance reporting, and compliance expectations Drive integration of scope, schedule, and cost performance measurement processes Risk Management Lead transition and execution of PMO risk management processes Implement standards for risk identification, assessment, mitigation planning, and monitoring Support quantitative risk analysis, Monte Carlo modeling, contingency management, and risk-based decision making Metrics & Performance Analytics Establish and maintain project controls KPIs and portfolio performance metrics Oversee development and maintenance of dashboards, executive reporting packages, and management scorecards Analyze trends and
