Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.   Northrop Grumman is currently seeking a Manager Test Inspection 3  to support the Quality & Mission Assurance function at our Elkton, Maryland site.   The  Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems and Controls (PS&C) facility in Elkton, Maryland began solid-propellant rocket operations in 1948. Today, the Elkton PS&C facility designs, develops, and produces solid-propellant propulsion and ordnance systems in programs professionally managed for a wide variety of Government and commercial customers.  The facility also serves as the hub for offsite engineering and test facilities in Ronkonkoma, NY and Palm Beach Gardens, FL.   Elkton, Maryland  is located on the Upper Chesapeake Bay, midway between Philadelphia and Baltimore. Experience panoramic views from Turkey Point Lighthouse on a bluff overlooking the Bay, or from the banks of the C&D Canal where ships from around the globe cruise.  https://www.ccgov.org/government/tourism   Responsibilities Fosters a culture of quality and safety performance Provide daily operations guidance to a team of managers and individual contributors supporting receiving inspection, in process inspection, and calibration Ensure the inspection tools, equipment, and process control documents adhere to quality requirements.   Works with cross functional management to prioritize manufacturing and product testing. Able to identify and resolve quality related issues expeditiously and proficiently. Develop and execute strategic and tactical objectives Drive culture change toward more proactive risk mitigation, data driven decision making, and continuous improvement.  Support Return to Green, Failure Analysis, and Corrective Action activities with focus on full resolution and future risk mitigation.  Success in this role will require sound judgment, innovative thinking and excellent interpersonal/management skills to plan, motivate and accomplish goals through your staff.
