Raytheon Software Engineering is looking for a Software Engineer II to join the Air C2 (Command and Control) and Battlefield Sensors software department in Fullerton, California. Our Culture | RTX Careers What You Will Do: The Air C2 SW product teams develop Command and Control mission critical applications and leverage DevSecOps processes along with best industry practices to meet the threats of today and tomorrow. Perform as a key contributor working as part of a high performing Software Product Team. Participate in software C2 software application design, implementation, test and maintenance. Collaborate in a cross-functional / agile environment Travel up to 25% including short term business trips (between 2 weeks to 2 months, depending on the circumstances) to Taiwan to interface with our customer and other RTX colleagues. Qualifications you must have: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience Experience in Java, Python or C++ programming languages. Experience with Red Hat Linux Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance as and when required. U.S. citizenship is required , as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications
We Prefer: Experience with Agile development methodologies Strong communication and collaboration skills, ability to work effectively within large, cross-functional teams. Experience in software engineering in the Command & Control domain Experience with interface development including tactical data links, radar/civilian data sources and weapons control. Experience with Java UI frameworks such as Swing or JavaFX Experience with component-based architecture and microservices.
