Job Description
WD is seeking a candidate to join its HDD Operations team in Fremont, CA. The candidate will participate in processes related to semiconductor wafer manufacturing, including but not limited to: Sustain ion beam mill and deposition processes for magnetic and non-magnetic thin films, including data review, disposition, and flagging of process excursions. Develop robust processes to reduce Within Wafer (WIW) and Wafer to Wafer (WTW) variation while optimizing processes to improve wafer yield. Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, design, integration, and equipment engineering teams to transfer new tools and processes to production, and support fab operations 24/7 to address production issues.
Qualifications
BS degree, Minimum 0-3+ years or MS degree, Minimum 0-1+ year in physics, chemistry, materials science, or related engineering field. Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving, data analysis, and failure analysis skills. Strong team-player with ability to troubleshoot and analyze complex problems. Willing to learn new knowledge and conduct research in new areas. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
