Primary Responsibilities
Own enterprise workforce and workplace platforms: Lead the technology platforms that support employee, workplace, Human Capital, Finance, analytics, and AI experiences across Optum Corporate Systems Drive enterprise data and AI strategy: Shape the roadmap for data products, AI enablement, and workforce intelligence capabilities that improve decision-making and productivity Lead AI-first engineering transformation: Embed AI-driven engineering practices, automation, and modern delivery models into the software development lifecycle Develop platform strategy and roadmaps: Define clear modernization, investment, and execution plans aligned to enterprise priorities and business outcomes Deliver measurable business outcomes: Translate technology execution into improved efficiency, better employee experiences, cost optimization, and enterprise value Lead global engineering organizations: Manage distributed engineering, product, data, and operations teams across geographies with strong delivery discipline Provide executive stakeholder leadership: Partner with senior leaders across business, HR, Finance, Workplace, and technology functions to align priorities and secure support Drive operational excellence: Improve reliability, productivity, financial discipline, governance, and delivery performance across the portfolio Lead platform modernization efforts: Advance cloud, data, application, and experience modernization to reduce complexity and improve scalability Build leadership capability and succession: Develop strong engineering leaders, strengthen talent depth, and create sustainable succession plans Accelerate enterprise innovation: Introduce new capabilities, practices, and technologies that help the enterprise move faster and deliver differentiated outcomes Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment).
