Job Description

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for 4 Onboard Safety-Critical Software Engineer and 1 A/C System Engineer to join our Aerial Delivery Domain based in Getafe, Spain. The selected candidates will be part of a team developing integrated A/C embebed systems contributing to Aerial Delivery capability and Health Monitoring function. As part of the Aerial Delivery team, you will be involved in the design, implementation, validation, verification, certification and qualification for integrated A/C system that constitute Aerial Delivery and Health Monitoring Functions. Onboard Safety-Critical Software Leader RESPONSIBILITIES To be in charge of the Software Requirements Specification for the Onboard Safety Critical Computers. To be in charge of the Software Architecture Definition for the Onboard Safety Critical Computers. To be in charge of the Hardware/Software Integration Testing for the Onboard Safety Critical Computers. To be in charge of the development of the Software DO-178 B/C for the Onboard Computers developed under the responsibility of the Aerial Delivery domain, and to be involved in its verification (testing, reviews and analysis). Develop considering the following factors: Safety, Quality, Systems Performance, Cost, Environmental, Operational and Industrial Requirements.

SKILLS

Degree in Computer, Software Engineering or similar. At least 10 years of experience in similar positions. Advanced level in English. Demonstrated experience in Software Development. Knowledge of programming languages as C/C++. Experience in SW verification tools. Knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems. Experience in Software Certification Processes applying the RTCA DO-178B/C. Experience in Worst-Case Execution Time Analysis techniques. Demonstrated experience in Software Development Knowledge of programming languages as C/C++. Desirable experience in SW verification tools. Desirable knowledge of Real Time Operating Systems. Desirable experience in Software Certification Processes applying the RTCA DO-178B/C. Desirable Worst-Case Execution Time Analysis techniques. A/C System Engineer RESPONSIBILITIES Requirements analysis and specification: Translate operational and functional customer requirements (civil and/or military) into detailed technical system specifications. Design and architecture: Define the system architecture while ensuring the consistency and interoperability of the various components. Interface management: manage technical interfaces between subsystems. Verification and validation: Develop and execute test plans, verification procedures, and validation campaigns to ensure the system meets specified requirements, complying with aviation and military standards (e.g., DO-178C, DO-254, MIL-STD). Risk management: Identify technical and operational risks, propose mitigation solutions, and implement corrective actions. Technical documentation: Draft design, validation, and maintenance documentation Develop and implement the Digital Twin framework for system logic validation.
