We're looking for a Director of FP&A to serve as the financial anchor of this fast-scaling business. You'll own the full planning stack (Long Term Financial Plan, Annual Budget, and Monthly Outlook) and translate Shopping's strategy into the forecasts, capital-allocation framing, and investment cases that decide where the business puts its next dollar. This is a high-influence seat: you'll partner directly with the division's founders, who continue to drive the business, as well as senior finance leaders, holding the relationships needed to unlock resources and drive alignment across corporate planning, controllership, and broader finance. Just as important, you'll lead and grow a small, embedded finance team built for leverage, automating the recurring work so the group spends its time on high judgment, strategic work. It's a rare chance to shape both the financial trajectory and the operating model of a business at an inflection point, with real ownership over how capital is deployed and how the function scales. General Responsibilities Partner with business leadership to assess the financial implications of strategic growth initiatives  Develop and present insightful financial and business performance reporting for senior leadership audiences Champion cost optimization initiatives with cross-functional teams Anticipate and resolve complex financial challenges Drive short and long-term forecast planning routines Lead, mentor and grow a high-performing team Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or other quantitative discipline, or military experience At least 7 years of experience in Finance, Business Analytics, Accounting, Strategy Consulting, or a combination At least 4 years’ experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function At least 3 years of people management experience  Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) or Finance Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) license or Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license 8+ years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) 5+ years’ experience managing a Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) function 4+ years of people management experience including both direct & indirect reports At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
