Here, you will make an impact by: Promoting a safe and secure workplace by monitoring and controlling access and egress of all individuals at 3M Cottage Grove Developing and utilizing a working knowledge of transportation information systems in order to assist in proper processing of inbound and outbound shipments Responding to, coordinating, and mobilizing resources to address emergency situations (e.g., fires, medical emergencies, dangerous spill/emission events, severe weather, bomb threats, and trespass/intrusion on 3M site, theft, and failure of major equipment or systems). Responding to the needs and requests of clients in a professional manner to foster employee safety and corporate goodwill. Act as liaison between business units and other internal and external resources and outsourced service providers. Company Vehicle This position requires driving a company vehicle, which will require pre-employment and ongoing review of motor vehicle history for candidates who are offered and hired for this position. Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications: High school Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) Two (2) years of customer service experience in a private, public, government or military environment. Current, Valid Driver’s license Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include: One (1) year of security related experience in a private, public, government or military environment. Proficient with computers including Microsoft Office products, and comfortable with learning other software systems Experience with Security related systems including video monitoring and access control Knowledgeable of transportation related regulations and documentation Must be willing and able to work overtime, nights, weekends and holidays as required Understand and carry out instruction, maintain a professional image, and work in a team environment is critical to the success of the organization.
