The Associate Patient Care Coordinator (Primary Care/Internal Medicine) is responsible to the Center Administrator and provides appointment scheduling, patient registration, cashiering, answers incoming calls and performs other related clerical functions. This primary role provides front office support functions. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8-hour shift between the hours of 7:30am-5pm EST. Schedule to be determined by manager upon hire. Location : 307 W. Main St. Kent, OH. Training and coverage may be required at Tallmadge location (116 East Ave, Ste 3, Tallmadge, OH 44278), depending on business need.

Primary Responsibilities

Taking messages for providers, handling forms: FMLA/Disability/BMV Collecting copays and patient balances that are due at time of check in Requesting records and retrieving records from offices/hospitals Prepping charts, scanning documents Verifies patient insurance coverage and eligibility utilizing computer-based patient registration / scheduling system Documents appropriate information in patient's charts using an electronic medical records system Completes and maintains physician's schedules, coordinating patient visits and medical procedures Ensure patient insurance information through EMR system What are the reasons to consider working for UnitedHealth Group? Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED 1+ years of customer services experience and/or experience working in a healthcare environment Must be 18 years of age or older Preferred Qualifications: Experience utilizing electronic medical records Medical office experience Advanced level of proficiency with the use of PC, typing capabilities and various software applications such as Microsoft Word and Outlook Soft Skills: Proven excellent customer service skills and ability to multi-task necessary Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
