Your Impact

Collaborate with engineers and product managers on small-to-medium, well-scoped features from technical build through completion.   Apply the full software development lifecycle to your projects, including   requirements of   analysis, develop, implementation, testing, code review, release, and documentation.   Write clean, secure, and maintainable code with mentorship, add relevant tests, and evaluate changes for correctness, reliability, and performance.   Perform debugging and solving throughout development, and   participate   in incident triage, post-incident learning, and   supported   on-call rotation.

Minimum Qualifications

Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or degree program (e.g., Associates, Apprenticeship, Boot Camp, or Certification in a specialized program + 3 years of relevant experience, High School Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience, Bachelors + 2 years of relevant experience) or Masters + 0 years of relevant experience. Relevant fields  include:   Computer Science, Software   Engineering   or related   field .

Preferred Qualifications

Coursework, internship, or project experience in distributed systems, networking, operating systems, databases, streaming systems, or high-throughput data processing.   Exposure to   containers, Kubernetes, public cloud platforms, CI/CD, or software deployed in customer-managed environments.   Experience investigating failures or measuring performance with logs, metrics, traces, or other observability signals, plus an interest in secure and serviceable production software.   Why Cisco?  At Cisco, we’re revolutionizing how data and infrastructure connect and protect organizations in the AI era – and beyond.
