Indirect buyer - 1st shift - RPO

Eaton’s CPDI OPS Operations division is currently seeking an Indirect buyer - 1st shift - RPO at our Spring Forest Rd site in Raleigh, NC.   The pay rate for this position is $24.84 per hour.  The Supply Chain team requires a multi site buyer role supporting the management of indirect material in the Raleigh area plants. This role will report to the purchasing supervisor and will be onsite full time.   In this function you will: •    Purchase Indirect Materials to support the operations, engineering, facilities and other departments •    Partner with internal stakeholders to define requirements, scope statements, and service-level expectations before procurement. •    Monitor supplier performance, ensuring on-time delivery and service quality; escalate and mitigate risks proactively. •    Execute purchasing card transactions (as applicable) and reconcile monthly statements. •    Responsible for vendor managed inventory (VMI) for the two manufacturing sites •    Maintain accurate ERP system data, including supplier information, pricing, lead times, and order status. •    Serve as the primary contact for indirect suppliers inquiring on open invoices and provide timely communication regarding invoice status, risks, and issue resolution.     •    Work directly with Eaton's global financial service team to resolve invoice holds, expedite payments, fix interface errors and update supplier records to ensure timely payments to suppliers.   •    Support contract negotiations, renewals, and documentation management for indirect categories. •    Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the indirect procurement process.              Qualifications: 
 Required (Basic) Qualifications: •    Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution with 1 year of supply chain experience in manufacturing   *OR*   Associates degree from an accredited institution with 3 years of supply chain experience in manufacturing   *OR*   Equivalent Military experience, in lieu of degree. •    Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future •    No relocation benefit is being offered for this position.  Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of the work location will be considered.  Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred Qualifications: •    Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) •    Experience with ERP (SAP, Oracle) •    Experience with kanban systems and vendor managed inventory suppliers is preferred Skills:
