Job Title Platform as a Service (PaaS) Operations Location London Corporate Title Assistant Vice President Our goal is to build & offer simple self-service shared platforms for clients to consume and in turn run their own business applications on. We’ll use a combination of open source and vendor technologies coupled with on premise services where appropriate and use automation for efficiency and accuracy. This role for DAP within PaaS. The Application Platforms mission is to build the commercial, technical, architectural and operational frameworks that will allow Deutsche Bank to operate successfully and securely. PaaS is the strategic application hosting platform of the bank and hosts more than 50% of bank’s workloads. Responsible for the delivery of on-premises  Platform as a Service using third party vendor solutions. It will provide on-demand access to technology services needed to build, host and manage bank applications using a variety of infrastructure solutions. Strong knowledge of Linux, Containers, Splunk, technologies is required to fill this role. We have implemented a model that enables eligible employees to work remotely for a part of their working time and reach a working pattern that works for them Competitive salary and non-contributory pension 30 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, with the option to purchase additional days Life Assurance and Private Healthcare for you and your family A range of flexible benefits including Retail Discounts, a Bike4Work scheme and Gym benefits The opportunity to support a wide ranging CSR programme + 2 days’ volunteering leave per year Your key responsibilities Responsible for building shared solutions in collaboration with architects, product managers and other key stakeholders Responsible for build, configure, and manage software on-prem for IaaS and PaaS solutions Production support of PaaS infrastructure which includes incident, change, problem management with a focus on maintaining the platform secure and stable Good knowledge on network configuration and Firewall configuration Collaborate with engineering, Customer success teams to host containerized workloads using above technologies in the standardized, governed and bank-approved manner Work closely with various vendors and internal teams, to ensure compliance with technology roadmap and security requirements on application, infrastructure, and operating system level Your skills and experience Strong working experience in Linux, Containers, Ansible (automation tools) and Splunk Experience in operating and supporting OpenShift/Kubernetes environments Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus to support day-to-day operations Strong experience in operations/infrastructure support model with good troubleshooting capability Good communication skills to collaborate with engineering and application teams across different stages Exposure to middleware technologies such as: WebLogic; JBoss; Tomcat; Splunk (logging/analysis) Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimise workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs How we’ll support you Training and development to help you excel in your career Flexible working to assist you balance your personal priorities A culture of continuous learning to aid progression A range of flexible benefits that you can tailor to suit your needs About us Deutsche Bank is the leading German bank with strong European roots and a global network.
