Become a part of the “strength within.” Hexcel is currently seeking a Planning Manager for our Burlington, WA, USA location. The Planning Manager is responsible for overseeing and directing all planning activities at the site. The focus of this role is to achieve effective capacity planning and scheduling while maintaining optimal customer service and inventory levels. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supply planning, capacity management, inventory management, material procurement, and interplant customer relationship management Summary pay range: $102,500 – $153,700 annual salary. The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations: Provide effective leadership and direction to planning, scheduling, and purchasing groups to ensure the organization consistently delivers efficient and timely supply chain solutions. Lead a team of five expeditors in the development and implementation of detailed production schedules which account for risks and agreed-upon customer service levels. Perform supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; motivating, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Facilitate plant level S&OP process to ensure proper communication regarding significant current/potential supply performance problems (schedule unfeasibility or non-compliance, material and capacity imbalances, excess inventory, etc.) to plant leadership in accordance with monthly cadence. Oversee short and long-range planning balance supply and demand on a 0 – 24-month timeframe. Work with Supply Chain leader to optimize network inventory, leveraging the relevant planning and inventory optimization tools. Lead tactical deployment of all supply chain planning systems in collaboration with the Global team. Define and manage process to review aged inventory and take actions to effectively utilize inventory. Define and manage process for cycle counting. Investigate root cause of largest cycle count adjustments each month. Implement corrective actions with affected functions. Assist Supply Chain leaders with developing appropriate replenishment strategies (Days of Replenishment) for all raw materials, work-in-process, and finished goods. Manage D365 system parameters to support agreed plans for on-time delivery, inventory, lead times, planning, batch control, etc. Develop master plan to handle fluctuations in demand and work collaboratively with Demand Analyst and Product Management to level requirements in D365 to what the system can absorb. Collaborate with Regional Purchasing and Supply Chain leader to develop supply strategies and interfaces with top-tier suppliers that guarantee key performance indicators are consistently achieved. Manage supplier base to guarantee reliable replenishment of materials used in production and/or site activities. Develop collaborative relationships between site resources and customer service to promote free flow of information. Create seamless interfaces between the Customer Service team, Production Planning, and Distribution to deliver customer service excellence to both internal and 3rd party customers.
