The incumbent will provide administrative support for the Area team to provide support to managers and employees regarding policy, payroll, recruiting, and benefits issues. This role will also support in processing organizational changes and executing various People & Culture processes/initiatives. This role is an onsite position in Troy, MI with hybrid 4-days in office 1-day remote flexibility.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Process paperwork for new hires & terminations, job changes, department changes/allocations, salary changes and employee name changes. Assist in completion of WorkDay job postings, application, and background check processing. Oversee Workday timekeeping usage including directing manager’s on PT/Temp policies. Answer routine questions regarding benefits, payroll, and HR policies/procedures. Generate and distribute HR-related reports. Coordinate employee programs related to HR on an as needed basis (i.e. Wellness). Provide additional support during key HR initiatives & special projects (i.e, GPTW, HRP open enrollment, year-end planning). Assist in coordinating compliance and safety updates with supporting locations. Maintain employee personnel file information. Audit biweekly payroll registers to ensure employee changes complete and payroll processed correctly. Complete employee VOEs that can’t be completed via The Work Number. Maintain and track compensation actions. REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
Related Functional Experience: Minimum 2 years in a HR-related or similar role. Additional Qualifications (preferred): Strong verbal and written communication skills. A well organized and self-directed individual and a team player. Strong bias for action, attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize multiple and diverse assignments to closure within stated schedules to meet critical deadlines. Demonstrated evidence of integrity and experience managing confidential data. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience working with an enterprise HRIS, as well as an applicant tracking
