BASIC PURPOSE: Check inbound product against receiving paperwork to insure that product matches order in quantity and pack size, and labels the product accordingly. Also ensure product condition meets acceptable government and company requirements. This makes sure the drivers have the product safely stowed and organized for maximum efficiency for the day’s deliveries . Your efforts are the foundation that defines US FOODS® success based on our pillars of cultural beliefs, work ethic, collaborative spirit, and service. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc. Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and comply with U.S. Foodservice’s food safety and RRE requirements. Check the cleanliness of the trailers before they are unloaded. Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system. Apply labels to all incoming product to identify that product in the warehouse for stocking, selection and inventory tracking. Complete required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory. RELATIONSHIPS Internal: Day Warehouse Supervisor Inventory Control Clerk Procurement Associates External: Outside Drivers Lumper services QUALIFICATIONS Education/Training: High School Education or equivalent preferred. Related Experience: A minimum of 3 months previous warehousing experience required, previous comparable warehouse experience preferred; Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read & write legibly; basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); good verbal communication skills; basic computer skills Compensation depends on relevant experience and/or education, specific skills, function, geographic location, and other factors applicable by law (for example: state minimum wage thresholds). The expected base rate for this role is between $21.00/hour and $21.00/hour. As applicable, this role will also receive: overtime compensation, incentive compensation based on productivity and quality, and Freezer premium. Benefits for this
