The Worldwide Grocery Stores (WWGS) Central Selection team is responsible for governing selection strategy and execution across Amazon's grocery portfolio. We operate at the intersection of category management, operations, and technology, building the mechanisms and guardrails that ensure each banner delivers a differentiated and complementary customer experience. Our work directly impacts millions of grocery customers and shapes how Amazon's grocery banners coexist and grow together. The Sr. PM will own the strategy and framework to enable improved, more automated selection decisions, including regional/local selection. This role works closely with Category, Product, Tech, and BI Teams to deliver effective tools, drive improvements, discover opportunities and present recommendations to business partners and management. This role combines strategic thinking with analytical rigor to create and implement location-specific selection frameworks that optimize both customer experience and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have strong business sense combined with a solid understanding of technical concepts. You can operate independently, think strategically, analyze data, influence others, and provide strong customer service support. You must be able to thrive and succeed in an entrepreneurial environment and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. High judgment, analytical talent, and exceptional communications are essential to success in this role. Key job responsibilities Drive consistency in how assortment decisions are made across banners and regions, owning work with tech partners to ensure our methodology for coverage, duplication and substitution logic, and optimization is uniform and anchored to consistent selection quality metrics across banners. Enable automation and efficiency by partnering with tech teams to develop shared tooling and selection models that eliminate duplicative manual work across multiple orgs, utilizing AI where possible. This creates scale benefit and allows business teams to focus on strategic inputs rather than executional tasks, and prevents tech teams from receiving disparate, sometimes competing, development requests. Maintain customer obsession through standardized, mission-based selection logic that ensures every banner carries the right products for the right missions, localized to customer demand and regional preferences. Create SOP and mechanisms to track, manage, and optimize regional-specific selection Partner with Category, Product, Tech, and BI teams to implement and enhance selection strategy tools Track, optimize, and report to senior leadership on selection workflow improvements and automation
