Will you join us in redefining the limits of what is possible? ✈️🚁🚀 As a Communication Manager you will be part of the International Communications team, the job holder will support external and internal communications activities for Airbus commercial aircraft, Helibras (helicopters) and Airbus Defence and Space in Brazil, in support of business and internal campaigns and corporate priorities. The job holder will be responsible for managing relations with the media in Brazil, liaising with Communications teams at customers. He / she will master content production for Airbus channels and organisation of local events, with the support of a local PR and event agency. The job holder will also drive internal communications campaigns, crisis comms, multimedia projects, sponsorships, speaking opportunities and supplier management, as needed.
Key responsibilities
Strategic Planning & Execution: Lead the development and execution of the annual Communications Plan for Brazil across all divisions (Helibras, Commercial Aircraft, Defence and Space), managing budgets, key messaging, and quarterly tactics to ensure a unified "One Voice" Media Relations & Crisis Management: Act as the primary point of contact for local media and industry stakeholders, manage local PR agencies, lead crisis communications, and execute Thought Leadership strategies for key executives. Events & Product Demo Tours: Plan, coordinate, and lead high-level press events, trade shows, executive briefings, speechwriting, and product demo tours across the region. Digital & Multimedia Content: Direct social media channels, audiovisual production, digital campaigns, and webcasts to elevate brand awareness and highlight local footprint. Internal Communications & Community Impact: Implement internal communication campaigns to drive employee engagement and support local Community Impact, +Impact, and disaster relief initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, PR, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus. Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in corporate communications. Solid background in the aviation/aerospace industry is required (familiarity with Airbus/Helibras ecosystem is preferred). Proven experience in media relations, event management, project management, and executive support. Fluent in English and Portuguese (written and spoken). Fluency in Spanish and/or French is a strong advantage. Proficient in Google Suite, digital/multimedia content tools, social media management, and journalistic writing standards Exceptional written, verbal, and executive-level interpersonal skills; strong capability to influence senior leadership and media stakeholders; proactive self-starter with crisis resilience, agility, and multitasking skills. Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice 25%. What are we offering? Permanent contract.
