Partner with the best As a Rotor Shop Machinist, you’ll support Rotor shop in running large Manual lathe, Grinding machine and Manual Mills, holding tight tolerances meeting OEM requirements and specifications. Read and interprets documents such as safety rules, blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations and setup requirements for the Gas turbine, centrifugal compressor and Steam turbine Rotors. As a Rotor Shop Machinist, you will be responsible for: Keeping the safety top mind. Reading and interpreting documents such as blueprints, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Working knowledge of geometric dimensions and tolerances. Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry. Calculating and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut. Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusts machine controls as required. Selecting, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, and grinders. Operating Overhead Carne to move equipment. Ownership for completion manufacturing digital inspection forms. Interacting with peers, supervisor, and internal / external customers. Fuel your passion To be successful in this role you will: Have High School Diploma or equivalent 10+ years related experience in heavy tonnage parts machining (01 to 40 tons). Experience in cylindrical grinding and refurbishment of heavy-duty/high-tonnage rotors is a must-have. Demonstrate advanced skill level (Aligning, Runouts, Turning, and Grinding) on at least Manual Lathe, mill and grinder. Must be able to accurately use measuring instruments. Have the qualification/certification on critical lifting (01 to 40 tons). Must be able to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions accurately. Experience in Gas turbine repair and component machining is a big plus. Knowledge of machine safety standards.
