What will you do as a Process Engineer at Sealed Air?
As a Process Engineer, you will play a critical role in building the manufacturing process foundation for our converting and assembly operations. You will be responsible for developing, documenting, standardizing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to ensure operational excellence, consistency, and scalability. This role will serve as the technical bridge between the Juárez manufacturing site and global engineering teams in the United States and Asia, driving the adoption of best practices while ensuring local processes support business growth, New Product Introductions (NPI), and long-term operational performance. You will work extensively on the manufacturing floor, partnering with Production, Quality, Engineering, Training, and Global teams to establish standardized work, optimize processes, and ensure successful execution across the operation. Why do we need you?
Build and standardize manufacturing processes for foam converting, die cutting, and assembly operations. Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Standard Operating Conditions (SOCs), Standard Work, and other process documentation to establish consistent manufacturing practices. Drive the transition from manual and tribal knowledge into standardized, documented, and sustainable manufacturing processes. Serve as the primary technical liaison between the Juárez plant and engineering teams in the United States and Asia to ensure alignment on manufacturing standards and best practices. Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities by translating product designs into robust manufacturing processes, work instructions, training plans, and production readiness activities. Partner with Production, Quality, Engineering, and Training teams to ensure effective implementation and adoption of standardized processes. Lead process optimization initiatives including layout improvements, material flow optimization, labor utilization, and productivity improvements. Support the design and implementation of tooling, fixtures, dies, and manufacturing equipment
