Manufacturing Process Engineer

MPG operates engineering and manufacturing facilities in:  Austin, TX;  Columbia, MD;  Ventura, CA;  West Chester, OH;  Salisbury, MD; Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic; and York, United Kingdom.   Job Description The Manufacturing and Process Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, implementing, optimizing, and continuously improving manufacturing processes to enable the efficient, safe, and economical production of high-quality products. This role designs and improves manufacturing layouts, production sequences, methods, tooling, and equipment to maximize productivity and process efficiency. The position works closely with Production, Quality, Supply Chain, Product Design Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve production issues, conduct process testing and validation, analyze process performance, and implement effective solutions. The Manufacturing and Process Engineer also supports new product introduction and manufacturing transfers, provides technical input to product design engineering to ensure manufacturability, maintains compliance with applicable regulatory and organizational requirements, and drives continuous improvement initiatives that increase productivity, reduce waste and costs, and ensure consistent quality and on-time delivery. Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing or process engineering, preferably in an electronics manufacturing environment. Experience with manufacturing processes, process optimization, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Root Cause Analysis, and problem-solving techniques. Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies. Experience developing and maintaining process documentation, work instructions, and standard operating procedures. Ability to analyze production data and identify opportunities to improve productivity, quality, and cost. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP systems is preferred. Intermediate to advanced English proficiency, both written and verbal. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
