About this role

Job Description

The " Supply Chain & Logistics " organization of Airbus Commercial has launched the OPTIFLOW platform to drive the transformation of its global operations. ATOS (Airbus Transport Operating System) is one of the six streams of the OPTIFLOW program and addresses all key topics of the transformation plan. ATOS covers the entire general freight scope for Airbus Commercial Aircraft, representing an annual budget of 150 million euros and 1,500 pick-up points worldwide. The project also includes the digital solution aimed at centralizing all transport-related data under supplier responsibility. Reporting directly to the Vice President (VP) in charge of Transport, within the Airbus Supply Chain Directorate, the jobholder will be responsible for defining the complete setup of the ATOS stream, including the governance model, with the following objectives: Develop an Inbound Control Tower solution covering all flows, from suppliers to warehouses (all Incoterm options: DAP, FCA, etc.) as well as plant-to-plant flows. The solution's scope encompasses the make-or-buy strategy, organizational principles, digital software suites, and business cases. Deploy the full suite of digital tools including a real-time transport visibility platform, a Transport Management System (TMS), ticketing tools, freight invoice audit tools, and optimization tools. Improve the transport demand data structure to enable accurate performance reporting, robust root cause analysis, and truck load optimization. Adapt the current transport operating model (4PL-3PL) by integrating the new make-or-buy strategy, upskilling teams, and updating processes, to ensure activity ramp-up and strengthen resilience. Deploy various solutions and a new organization to redesign the transport network, thereby generating efficiency gains and cost savings. Main missions Project Management Set up the complete project framework, including key objectives, the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), the Organizational Breakdown Structure (OBS), and deliverables. Define the most suitable management methodology (AGILE, CARE, etc.) to successfully lead the project, in close coordination with the OPTIFLOW platform and with a focus on speed and efficiency. Define and steer the governance model, focusing on the operational implementation of deliverables without disrupting business continuity. Project Definition and Deployment Define and deploy the fundamental building blocks of the future Airbus transport operating system (IT architecture/system, processes, "Make or Buy" strategy, resource and skills model, performance management). Define and implement the deployment plan across all Airbus entities and the supply chain (Europe, US, Asia). Define and implement a change management plan. Demonstrate implementation success through Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Dimensions Project team of approximately 20 people. Non-Recurring Costs (NRC) of the project: 3 to 5 million euros.
