We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the Amazonian productivity — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers and security experts. You’ll collaborate with people across Amazon to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion. Amazon Corporate Network Automation Engineering team's mission is to maximize network availability and eliminate work required by humans. We build and own: systems that can monitor, alert and remediate networking events; foundational services that support network devices (think ingestion and enrichment of millions of logs per minute) at scale; and systems that allow us to rapidly configure, deploy and scale our network. We are looking for an exceptional SysDev Engineer who is passionate about building config generation, OS upgrade and config deployment automation. You will have deep knowledge of python, software architecture and good knowledge of AWS Products, DevOps patterns, and mature CICD processes that will help build the next generation of services that enable self-healing for our systems and minimize the work required of humans. Our ideal candidate will lead and mentor other Engineers, be exceptionally customer-centric and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment that requires excellent technical and communication skills. You will join a team of tenured Software, Systems and Network development Engineers who are instrumental in driving the stability and sustainability of our network and to discover innovative ways to automate and scale our network as Amazon expands to hundreds of corporate offices, data centers and other locations worldwide. Our team is one where you own everything end to end: design, development, testing, deploying through rapid iteration. - Must have experience hands on development of automation software in at least one modern language, such as Python, Java, AWS CDK and Cloud formation or others. - Automating the deployment of network devices gateways using infrastructure as a code across all of our network fabrics using automation such as CDK, Python. - Desirable to have an understanding of AWS services mainly networking products such as AWS VPC, Transit Gateways, ANF, NAT-Gateways, Cloudwatch, AWS Lambda. A day in the life Today, software, tooling and integration in the corporate office network is an afterthought when compared to DCNE/Border fabrics. We want to ensure parity for tools like PCN, TShift, NHS, PIMMS which will enable cycle time improvements, raising the bar for security and increase operational efficiency in the network. To realize this mission, we will work closely with our partner teams in building the support, or will self-service that support where necessary. As the Corporate Network expands, it requires higher velocity of changes,
