Job Description
Utility & Infrastructure (Project Manager II) Location: Dayton, OH (Service Building) Work Model: Primarily in‑person; occasional weekends/irregular hours as needed About the Role As a Capital Project Manager , you will independently manage large‑scale transmission, distribution, and infrastructure projects , owning results from planning through construction. This role sits at the core of our PMO and plays a critical role in delivering projects that expand capacity, enhance reliability, and support long‑term system needs. What You’ll Do Manage multi‑million‑dollar capital projects ($5M–$50M+) with full accountability for scope, schedule, budget, and risk. Develop and maintain integrated project plans, schedules, cash flows, and risk registers. Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to ensure construction milestones and outages are executed safely and on time. Lead procurement planning, scope development, bid evaluations, and contract administration. Track and forecast project costs; provide detailed monthly reporting for PMO and leadership. Identify risks early and drive mitigation strategies. Support mentoring and development of junior PMs. Participate in PMO process improvement and lessons‑learned initiatives. What We’re Looking For 3–7 years of experience managing capital construction projects. Utility, infrastructure, or data center experience preferred. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast‑paced environment. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred. PMP preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with SAP and Oracle P6 strongly desired.
