Start here. Grow here. Our Water team is on the lookout for a passionate Senior / Principal Hydrologist to join our dynamic and rapidly growing Water Business Line in Bristol. This is your chance to help deliver high profile, influential projects across the UK and even further afield while working at the heart of one of the UK’s most ambitious and connected engineering hubs. Here’s what you’ll do: Produce flood hydrological assessments which are assisting the design of flood alleviation schemes, flood risk assessments or the preparation of Environment Agency flood maps. Apply industry standard guidance (FEH) to derive flood flows estimations for a range of catchment types throughout England. Produce high quality technical reports. Use GIS tools (ArcGIS Pro, QGIS) to support your work. Technically review hydrological assessments produced within AECOM. Build relationships with clients and across other technical disciplines. Keep up-to-date with developments in methodologies and guidelines that may affect our services and share them with the team. Be an active member of our national community of hydrologists and hydraulic modellers. Come grow with us. Environment Agency Mapping and Modelling Framework delivering national, catchment and local scale flood risk mapping and modelling to support the EA’s obligations to its customers. Thames Water Professional Services Framework covering the multidisciplinary services, engineering services and environmental services. Severn Trent Water Design Services Framework supporting the construction of major schemes. Southern Water Strategic Delivery Partner supporting Kier in the delivery of non-infrastructure water and wastewater projects.
